I don't have any videos of me or the band playing anywhere. And boy, to be honest, these days the thought of me dragging all my gear out for a gig sure doesn't have the appeal like it used to back in the day. I guess I really am getting old. But I still get together with some old friends. We jam, and also do a little home recording.
So if you're curious what Davey does, clicky on the link and it should take you to soundcloud (Partly Banded account) where we've posted some tunes just for the fun of it. I've posted this link before, then got cold feet and removed it. I guess it's true that you are your own worst critic.

I've been enjoying this site for many years. I've never been able to help with any tech questions but I have learned a great deal here and met some wonderful folks. Thank you, Dave.

I hate to agree with you but dragging MY stuff out is getting to be a pita. And I do it almost every weekend. I did a winery gig yesterday that actually turned out good so at least THAT was fun. Nice people, a LOT of money flowing around. AND they seemed to enjoy it. I really miss the days of cranking even a small amp. I have been using a REALLY small tube amp lately and it's been plenty. The times, they ARE a changing. I haven't been down to the recording room forever. Maybe THAT would crank me up. Go record some obnoxiously loud songs and solos! Mike.

Really not a good video but it IS my 2-10 65 being used. In fact, it's the only video I have of the little girl! Yes, I'm the ahole singing.

Nope, but close. Heritage 535 but with gibby classic 57 pickups. THE best guitar I have ever owned. Yeah, play keys in this band and when I do a duo with the girl I play guitar and keys. . Also play bass when I HAVE too. Actually a good bass player but guitar comes first. Oh wait, keys come first. I AM SO CONFUSED!!!! Mike.
PS- Singing? That's croaking!
PPS-I will play ANYTHING as long as I get PAID!

My band House Brand played the local Rib Fest this past Sunday afternoon. Here is a sample - an original by our lead singer. I take full responsibility for the bum note at the end.
I'm playing the 'big rig' - HD 130 reverb head, 210X cab and 210RH cab. This song is my 1980's American Standard Strat with a BK Butler Tube Driver for overdrive.

(I'm the fat guy in the yellow shirt).
PS - the lead singer is playing through an RD-50 110 combo, no fx - just the guitar and some attitude.
Cheers,
Lars Verholt

11 years 2 monthsI also have a Silverface Fender Bandmaster that rolled out of Fullerton in July of 1969, a pristine '65 Fender Princeton Reverb with original cover and manual, this was a Flea Market find in 1984 at the Golden Nugget Flea Market in Lambertville NJ...I paid 50 dollars for it.
I also have a newer Fender 30 watt Champion, and a cheapie Rogue 30 watt bass amp for home recording.

Hey Mike,
thanks for the kind words. To answer your q from e-mail: The sound is just camera microphone. It is, however, a very nice camera. We have an avid fan who likes to film us (pardon the expression - there is of course no film involved these days) at shows.
Cheers,
Lars
Amp
Can't see the amp well enough. What model is it. Great tone! Mike.
