I'm a Swedish guitarist and a big fan of MM-amps. I own 2 of them at the moment. |

Can't really say-I've never seen a schem from an export. I would find it hard to believe that they would defeat that function but if you have one of the SS driver versions, there is almost no change from one to the other. Is that the model that you have? |

i have an EX model (hd 130 12ax7) and i can say that the low power switch works. it may not seem quieter but you will pickup headroom in hi mode. |

I have owned a RP 100 head for 20 + years and can't tell any difference in HI/LO. The switch was broken and had to be replaced when it arrived at the dealer and I always wondered if the wrong switch was installed. I watched the repairman fix it and he double checked to make sure it was right when we couldn't tell any difference. |

When switching between High and Low power settings, there will NOT be an increase or reduction in volume... this is not changing the gain of the circuit it is simply increasing or decreasing the plate voltage on the output tubes. This will effect the apparent headroom. |
