Cost effective

OK I put tis in the bragging section already however the purist will wonder why I did not restore my RD 50.
"COST" I literally pulled the RD from a dumpster and built this rig from materials I had in my garage except for a new power transformer the 6488's and a few caps. The stuff I had was of course worth money but all I spent on this project was about $40 the repair to the amp wood cabs and stand all fabricated by me.
I fist got interested in the RD 50 when I heard Chet Atkins play one and my amp has that clean sound just right for playing country but fun rockin in the D mode played loud trhough the Eminence 12"http://usera.imagecave.com/rws/gear/mm1. JPGhttp://usera.imagecave.com/rws/gear/mm2. JPG

Rather interesting setup but unfortunately, in My band, I'd go deaf bending over to adjust the amp! We're pretty freaking lound at times. Besides, I don't really like HEARING myself most of the time!

Not a problem Mike you can put the head on top or forget the stand and stack as normal I put feet on the head to clear the handle on the speaker. One thing I missed and need to do is put shielded reverb cables they pick up a bit of hum from the transformer. As far as loud I found in most small clubs I point the speaker at the celing and it reflects down works pretty good but not in all cases.

I like that Gibson..must sound sweet through the Musicman!
