The cabs are 3/4" pine with finger-joints, the front baffle is 1/2"-3/4" baltic ply I believe. Back baffels 1/4" ply. I like good old aged pine. Koa is beautiful and expensive along with other exotic woods, but pine has a sweet vintage tone and Fender/Musicman were pine. Fender used paricle board baffles on the 60's & 70's. Musicman changed the baffles using plywood. |
