Sound Files from my Music Man Past...

I ran across these recordings while cleaning out the cobwebs. These tracks are practice studio recordings of the band Time & 1/2 (Time and a half... like overtime) that I played lead guitar in from about 1978 to 1981 or so.
These are the only known recordings I have that capture the sound of my 112RD-65. I was using this amp exclusively during this period. Keep in mind that these were tracks recorded during practice... raw, live, warts and all, no overdubs.
The files are 192kB MP3 files and are 4-5MB in size. I am sure I had some outboard gear connected to the insert jacks (MXR digital delay, MXR Pitch Transposer) during this period but the guitar was usually connected straight to the amp input and I used the amp's distortion (no pedals).Ain't That a Shame (Cheap Trick, Fats Domino)Those Young Girls (Original, by Andy Halley...Lead singer & Rhythm guitar)
It sounded pretty good considering it was a 65 watt 1-12 in a 5-piece band!
Check out that Hammond B-3/Leslie in the background. We hauled that thing up more flights of stairs than I care to remember (ahh.. to be young). I felt like a furniture mover because it WAS furniture! Tom the keyboard player is the only member of this band that has passed away to my knowledge. He died in 2000. Tom, these tunes are dedicated to you!

Crunchy is a good way to describe it! I sure had no problem cutting through a 5 piece band playing in all sorts of venues!
