MM110RD50 EV SPEAKER INSTALLATION QUESTION

How do you install a force 10 ev speaker in a Music Man 110rd50 amp? The output transformer is in the way. How were these installed from the factory? thanks for any help.

Hi, My comment probably won't be that helpful, but you need to take the whole cabinet apart. First remove all the connectors, then the amplifier chassis (consider removing tubes first) it bolts in through the top of the cabinet. Pull the chassis out towards the back of the cabinet. It will feel stiff, but it does come out. Now you have full access to the speaker. Unscrew the old...in with the new.

Also own a few Fenders: Dual Showman, Excelsior, Hot rod Deluxe and a Champ XD.

I have an RD110 with the EVM speaker, I'm assuming it's a force 10. It is a very tight fit - the output transformer seems to fit between the speaker cage legs.

I can take photos if you still need them.
