RP100 upgrading preamp?

Hi There
My MM 210 RP100 sounds great but it also has a harshness to the sound (has new 5881 tubes), which, I presume, is the SS preamp.
Can you recommend any preamp upgrade options for me? And, do you have schematics etc I can give my tech

The schematics should be here on the sight some where. Go to the front page and select schematics. It should lead you there. I would ask what type of tubes you have in it first. When you say 5881's taht leads me to believe they are sovtek which is pretty harsh in itself. Just a thouht but some svets(the real ones) or JJ's might warm it up a little. Mike
