Anyone seen a similar mod?
Hello, everyone! I'm trying to figure out what's going on with this MusicMan 210-HD 130 I have. I think it's a 1976, and it has an interesting looking modification on the back panel (see photo). There are what look like 2 XLR line outs, but I'm not sure. Anyone know a safe way to test them? Thanks for looking!

Thanks for looking and for the reply... You're right, that transformer is barely hanging on!
I recently pulled this amp out of a metal storage shed in my mom's backyard. It has basically been sitting outside next to her lawn mower in the South Carolina heat and humidity since September of 1999. It was abused heavily before being put into "storage" too. I didn't really expect it to turn on when I rediscovered it. But, when I got it home, I plugged it in and it sounded.... GREAT?! The only thing wrong seems to be a loose reverb coil which makes the verb sound like something out of The Jetsons once the dial is past 3.
Anyway, when I was 17 or 18, I inherited the amp from my cousin who had been a touring guitar tech with the Marshall Tucker Band. I think this amp was likely on tour with them at some point. He's no longer around to ask about the mods, but I'd love to know what he did. I'll crack it open and post some pics soon. Thanks again for the response!
From the outside, no. You…
From the outside, no. You need to get the chassis out, look at where it goes and determine WHAT has been altered. I would ASSUME that it's a Low z recording output for one, maybe some kind of through the signal type low z out but gawd, who knows. Get it apart, take a crap load of pics and get them up here. We'll try to help. Mike. PS-LOOKS like the transformer is ready to fall out!
