Just acquired an awesome HD212 with the PI tube. I was wondering if this tube makes a different in tonality. I read somewhere that the PI tube is the most important for preamp distortion, and then arguments negating that.
I was going to grab a Tungsol just because I love how they sound, but didn't want to drop money in it, if it doesn't matter. |
