I'm having a real hard time sourcing new electro' caps for my amp. 150uf/50v. I can find lead free ones, maybe those would be fine. Also would the easy to find Sprague's work, as far as physical size goes, for the 100uf/450v's? Were they all silver from the factory? I have some blue Mallory's in there. |

By the way, AES has 100's and 50's that you can gang together. Mike. |

Okay, I found the two 100/450's and the five 150/50's. I should replace the two 20/450's I'm guessing also, right? Any others I should be concerned about? The amp is pretty quiet. By the way, mine is the 12AX7 driver model (2275-65 chassis?) It looks like some have been replaced already if they were all silver from the factory. Three of the 150/50's are blue Mallory's and the two 20/450's are also blue Mallory's. But maybe I should just do all of them and start fresh. I love the sound of this amp. Warm, very warm with the original "fat boys". Tried some early 2000's winged C's but didn't care for them, even after a few bias adjustments. |

Unless you can find a date on the chassis saying "changed on such and such a date", I would just change them all. ESPECIALLY the ones, in your case, on the driver board and bias supply board. VERY IMPORTANT. Blue Mallory's could still be 20 years old. |

Hello again. I'm finally getting time to order caps. Will the mouser P/N 647-TVX2W220MCD work fine for the 20uf's under the hood? I do have some brand new sprague 20/450's in another amp I could pull. |

Didn't mean to post the same question twice. Didn't see the first one, so I thought I messed it up. Thanks |

That will be fine. That's pleny close unless they are drastically out of spec, which I doubt. |
