Bag does nothing but keep the dirt out. What are the numbers printed ON the tank that you have? They will tell us what the specs were for THAT tank and we can go from there. Mike |

Have you ensured that the tank is not hooked up backwards? If it is, the symptoms would be exactly as you describe. Also, bad connections inside the reverb tank often cause funny sounding reverb effects. |

I have a couple of amps with the tank screwed right to the cab through rubber grommets. Seems that they are more prone to "earthquakes" from getting bumped than the ones that are mounted with the bag. |

All quite true. It DOES separate the cab a little from external vibrations. Not absolutely essential but as the boys corrected me(and rightfully so), they DO serve a purpose. I keep forgetting that people actually USE reverb sometimes! I don't use it at all so I sometimes get a little one sighted. My bad! Mike. |
