Mark Knopfler & Music Man

From Vintage Guitar magazine, February 2003 issue, p. 65:
"Knopfler mated his '60 Strat to an old Fender Vibrolux amp on his earliest Dire Straits recordings, then switched to more powerful Music Man amps by '79, favoring a 2x12 combo similar to a Fender Twin-Reverb..."

On the subject of Mark Knopfler, from May 1979 on he played two Music Man 212 HD 130's on stage at his performances. There is a very good write up on his website blog about the history of Music Man Guitar Amps.
