PREDICAMENT

Hi everyone, i purchased 2 musicman 15" cabs. I had to buy 2 to get one. on closer inspection of the speakers i noticed one is silver, the other black. They both look the same except for where the earth wire is attached. The silver speaker reads "15GPOA8FX - 67- 7539" The black reads "A15-RH 67-7624". so they are both eminence alnico's one made in 75, and the other 76. MY QUESTION IS: is there any preference to one of these speakers since i have to get rid of one, or simply did musicman/eminence change the codes and colours but not speaker design in 1976. It should also be noted that the speaker will be geting a rebuild. Thanks in advance.

Sorry about the late reply... I have been and continue to be unable to spend much time here.
I am not aware of anything that would make one speaker a better choice except perhaps that the newer one has had 1 less year of abuse from players and gravity.
