hello,
I hope somebody will help me with an advice. I have to retube my HD130, and I play bass (Fender Jazz Bass and Danelectro Baritone, Ampeg 4x10 cab).
My options would be JJ E34L and EH 6CA7 (fat ones), and my priority is to get clean headroom. which of the 2 would be best?

I also play bass and I put EH 6CA7's in my HD130 and they work great. Plenty of headroom.

thanks for your reply.
my concern also regards a comparison between the power the JJE34L and EH6CA7 deliver and their reliability as well. I'd really need an advice about that.

Well, I'm a big JJ fan since I actually get them to last and I do USE my amp. It's worked every week and gets the dog pucky run out of it so it has to hold up. I carry NO spare tubes to the job(which may be stupid) and it hasn't failed me. I trust them and they sound good. 'Nuff said.Mike.
