How much would you think one would get, for the shipping charges through UPS ground from USA to the Canada for the MM 410HD one thirty?
How much does the MM 410HD one thirty weigh?
anyone has experience in shipping one?
How did it arrive at your door?
what would be the best packaging advise to do it?
Thank you so much for any feedback. |

When shipping an amp, make sure it is shipped UPSIDE-DOWN in the box. This puts the weight at the bottom of the box (so it isn't top-heavy, which invites more damage) and prevents the transformers from bending the chassis or separating from it.
Pull the tubes, wrap them separately in bubblewrap or soft packaging and box them (the box can be put into the bottom of the cabinet as long as it will not be in a position to harm a speaker). Wrap the power cord in bubblewrap so it too won't damage the speakers.
Do NOT use foam peanuts, even as filler. This sort of filler is great for small and lightweight items but it gets pulverized into little pieces by things as heavy as amplifiers. Use ONLY soft sheet foam and bubblewrap to completely "cocoon" the amp and make it a tight fit in the box. You ought to have at least 3 layers between the amp and the box. Pay special attention to protecting the front panel controls. The box used should be rated for the weight (double thickness if possible) and be 3-4" bigger than the amp on all sides (to allow for sufficient air-space to include packaging material... i.e. bubblewrap).
An amp packed like this can survive a transcontinental shipping episode even if it includes an occasional drop kick or tip-over in the truck.
