Hello? Anybody here? 112RD50

Hey Friends, first post here.

I recently acquired an '81 112 RD50 and in searching for info, mods, etc. found this site. I'm hoping to get some current insight on what to do with this amp from folks in the know. Is anyone here?

Nice little amp. Wish I would have had one when I was still playing. Lost of people here, just a lot of people missed the move from the old system to the new and new server.  I personally have not WORKED on one but schematics are in the archive. Never really heard of anybody modding these. Some have "Modded"  MM's by swapping the IC's in the front end and of course, tube rolling is another option. Just all depends on what you are looking for. A lot of progress was made with swapping the Ic's. Search for IC's and swapping and you will find some discussions from the guys about it. Very interesting. My 2-10 has the old can type Ic's so you have to work around that.  The RD's use the later spider type Ic's.   Mike.

Thanks for the response, Mike.

As others have said, the clean channel on these is glorious, the "limiter" channel not so much. Evidently some components can be switched out (including IC's) to make the dirt channel more usable. I'll keep digging. Thanks again!

Yeah, those amps pedal well but the internal gizmo's I was never fond of. Never worked on one, like I said but played through a RD amp SOMEPLACE, don't remember where. The guy that let me use it was a killer player and could play through a pignose and make it sound good. My 2-10-65 has been a faithful player for a lot of years. Always wanted to get into it and voice it a little better as it has little bass response. One of those 'round to its that never happened.
