Reverb & Tremolo Footswitch

Hello, I play rhythm guitar thru a late-70s 210HD130 with a factory 2-button footswitch for reverb & tremolo; it plugs into the back with two RCA connectors. I almost always set the reverb around 4, with a subtle level of tremolo, and only adjust when recording.  I haven't used the footswitch in years.  

Will it hurt any functionality to unplug the RCA connections and put the footswitch into storage?
