Can anybody tell me if an early 70's Music Man Sixty Five head is suitable for using with a bass guitar? |

It works fine for Bass and was probably designed for Bass use primarily. They added Reverb to make the "guitar" variant but they all work for either. Keep in mind that 65 watts may not keep up with a heavy-handed rock drummer, but it would work for practice, smaller venues or music softer than Ozzy Osbourne! |

I use a 130 watt head (HD130) with a 2x10 (210RH) cabinet for pretty much all of our gigs. I always use the amp on the low power setting (65 watts) with the master volume at 10 and the pre at 4 at the most. This is fine for stage volume and smaller clubs. At medium to large places the bass is also run through the front end PA. |
