This is the second time I have posted a message. The first one was lost for some reason. I need a replacement for the LM 307H in my M.M. HD 130. Can anyone help. |

I'm gonna let the cat out of the bag. I respectfully ask that we don't buy them all up. We don't want them to become extinct. These guys say they have found lots of them. |

I have been talking with an applications engineer from Texas Instruments and have found a replacement for the LM307H that just blows it away in every catagory of performence. The T.I. chip has much beter slew rate, frequency response,DC offset, current draw, you name it. The only problem is that the metal can package is now obsolete by every manufacture. The pin out of each is identical,a good thing.I am investigating a way to hand wire a dip header for the T.I. chip to the round base of the LM307. The T.I chip is about 2.50-3.00 and a 8 pin dip header is about 2.00-2.50. By the way the LM307H sold for about $1.85 before it was obsoleted.Wow,I wonder why it is 12.50 each now. Maybe for its now a collectors item. Only tube artifacts sound better than new products. I think I will try to use the new op-amp rather than pay the extortion of $12.50! |

Great news! I hope it sounds good. It would be easy to make an adapter for it. The 307 may be left to the 100% restorations. Let us know how it turns out. |

LM307H is an op-amp IC. (It's out of production.) |
