Why is it that whenenver I see 2 RH cabinets stacked on top of each other, the ports are always separated - as in the bottom cabinet has the port near the floor, and the top cabinet has the port near the amp? Does this help with the low frequency distribution?

Most people that I remember from back in the day didn't KNOW you could flip it so they just wanted the badges up! It really doesn't affect the tone in any way as bass will travel where it want to anyway(usually too loud, as is the case with most bass players-no offense meant). It just goes everywhere. Mike.

Mike - that's funny because I feel the same way about guitar players. But it's usually because they are treading on my frequencies and muddying-up the low-end. But that's a discussion for another topic. Thanks for the info. Does the grill cloth pop off pretty easily?

Hey, I AM a bass player! I do bass, keys and guitar in my band(multi-screwed up). It wasn't a slam, I know how I am when I play bass-I can never hear MMMMEEEEEEE!

I have 4 ohm RH 2X12 One Thirty cabinet with origanal alnico speakers and a 1x15 cabinet with a 8 ohm Eminence Ledgend if I hook up both cabs would the 4 ohm seeting be right or is this even adviseable? Oh ya through a HD one thirty Reverb head.

If you use the 130 and the normal configuration of the head has NOT been changed, your best bet is the 8 ohm setting. The MM's are wired in SERIES on the external speaker jack so the closest will be the 8 ohm tap since you will have a 12 ohm load. Mike.
