In WHAT amp? I'm assuming a MM with the PI. If that's the case, no I haven't tried one. Kind of takes the warm out if you go SS driver though. That's why the guys with the tube drivers like them. JM2CSW. Mike.
I haven't tried one in a MM amp yet but I have a few I think I will make a compairrison test tonight on a HD 130 head. If their is no difference in sound/tone wouldn't that solve the problem of PI tube failure frying your whole amp.
